OUR SPIRITUALITY

Spirituality can be understood as the way we live out our relationship with God and all others in the Community of Life on our Planet. It encapsulates the dynamic between the mystery that is God and the mystery that is you and me. Our Founder, Jean Pierre Medaille encouraged us to live a spirituality of communion. This means that we are called to be in relationship with the Divine, other people and all life in our world. Earth, our home is a unique community of life and we hold as a sacred trust the care and cherishing of its vitality, diversity and beauty.

We aim to make God's love visible in our world. This challenges us to discover and nurture the contemplative or mystic dimension within ourselves and in those we meet so that all will come to know how the Divine can nourish their daily lives. The spiritual life is simply one in which all that a person is and does springs from our core where one is anchored in God. Thus the spiritual and the practical life are not separate. Our inner spiritual life informs and guides our choices, behaviours and our responses to the human condition.

One of the ways we make our spirituality "real" is by prayer, private prayer, prayer together in Community and sharing our faith stories.
Another way we express our spirituality is through service to all especially those most in need. We live and work so that all may be united with God and with each other
